More often then not, 2:00 pm rolls around and I’m ready for a healthy treat to hold me over until dinner. This chocolate cherry protein shake fills me up, and satisfies my sweet tooth (without me feeling bad about it!). It’s great as a quick snack, or post workout smoothie.
Chocolate Cherry Protein Shake
Ingredients
- 1 Scoop Chocolate Protein Powder I prefer Jay Robb Egg White Protein
- 2 Tbsp Cocoa Powder
- 1/3 Cup Frozen Cherries
- 1 1/2 Cups Almond Milk
- 3 Tbsp Dark Chocolate Chips I use Lily’s Sweets brand
- 6-8 Cubes Ice
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to blender and blend on high until ice is completely broken up, about 2 minutes.
- Pour into a tall glass with a thick smoothie straw, and enjoy!
