Sweet and Savory Asian Marinated Flank Steak

Ingredients
1 ¼
lb
flank steak
⅓
c
soy sauce
⅓
c
water
2
tbsp
honey
1
tbsp
rice vinegar
1
tsp
fish sauce
1
tsp
sesame oil
¼
tsp
dried ginger
¼
tsp
dried mustard
Instructions
For the Marinade
Mix all ingredients except steak together until thoroughly combined.
Add steak to a gallon size zip top bag along with the marinade. Seal tightly and store in a bowl in the fridge for 2-4 hours.*
Cook the Steak
Heat about two tablespoons of oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
Once oil is rippling, add steak and sear each side until color forms (about 3-4 minutes each side).
Transfer steak to a cutting board to let rest. Tent with foil and rest for an additional 8 minutes.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
*It needs at least an hour for good flavor, but 2-4 is ideal. You could make in the morning and leave all day, if you'd like.
